I spent forty-five years in the advertising business in Los Angeles, Hawaii, and Las Vegas. I served as creative director for international advertising agencies including Bozell Jacobs, DDB/Needham, and Ogilvy & Mather. What does that really mean? Well, that I've worked on a ton of different business categories from healthcare to hospitality. It means that I've helped companies like Hyatt Hotels, Jaguar Automobiles, and Pizza Hut get noticed and get bottom-line results. I’ve done the work in the trenches. I developed thousands of campaigns. Hundreds of trademarks. I’ve managed consumer and focus group research.
I’ve written books on advertising law that have been used in universities across the country for thirty years. I even taught the subject at Pierce College and UCLA. I've served as expert witness in numerous state and federal U.S. district court cases.
I earned undergraduate degrees from Thomas Edison State University and the University of California at Berkeley. I have an MFA in Creative Writing from National University and a law degree from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law. I was also an adjunct professor at Pierce College and UCLA.
I'm a member of the Society for Consumer Psychology, the Association of Writers and Writing Programs, and International Thriller Writers.
