North American Scientific
North American Scientific (NAS) started in 1990 as a manufacturer of radiation measurement and calibration standards. Over the years, NAS pioneered the development of prostate and breast Brachytherapy seeds and products. As a result, their "standards" line was not given the marketing attention it needed to keep it in the forefront of the market and its potential users.
So, NAS needed to re-introduce their line of high quality radiation measurement and calibration standards to the "health physics" market. These gas "standards" (Xenon and Krypton) are used for calibration of test equipment and environmental sampling. Simply put, they assure accuracy of radiation testing equipment.
NAS is one of a handfull of companies that makes these items. And they have the highest quality in the market because they are traceable to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) standards. They also offer the widest array of calibration standards.
We needed to re-introduce NAS standards to the market through specifically targeted trade journals directed toward radiation safety and research. Primarily health physicists, labs and testing facilities, through publications like Health Physics magazine. Through the campaign the overall message of obsessive attention to detail and quality was brought to life in a way that stood out in technical journals.
The campaign was very successful in reinforcing the NAS name in the "standards" arena, and the quality it stood for. It also increased sales by driving new and additional traffic to the NAS sales team.
